About this service
What Is a Cardiac Stress Testing ?
- A Cardiac Stress Test, also called an Exercise Tolerance Test, evaluates how well your heart functions during physical activity. Because the heart works harder during exercise, this test can reveal problems that may not be noticeable while you are at rest.
- During the test, you will walk on a treadmill while your heart rhythm (ECG), blood pressure, and symptoms are carefully monitored. The level of exercise gradually increases so we can assess how your heart responds to physical stress in a safe and controlled environment.
- A stress test helps detect reduced blood flow to the heart (coronary artery disease), exercise-induced abnormal heart rhythms, and symptoms such as chest discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue, or dizziness. It also helps determine safe levels of physical activity and guides treatment and prevention strategies.
What to expect
The test usually takes about 20 minutes, including preparation and recovery time. You will be closely supervised by our experienced medical team throughout the procedure to ensure your safety and comfort.
